As the founder of Barker Developmental Consulting, my mission is to support families and professionals in creating the conditions every child needs to feel safe, valued, understood, and empowered to grow. I believe parents are the experts on their children and that strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for learning and development. Through a strengths-based and family-centered approach, I partner with families, educators, healthcare providers, and other professionals to build on children’s unique strengths, nurture their social and emotional well-being, and strengthen the systems that support their development.
I am also passionate about helping professionals feel confident in their work with young children and families while fostering collaboration across disciplines. By offering individualized guidance, supporting services within children’s natural environments, and connecting families and professionals with additional resources when needed, I strive to create meaningful partnerships where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported. Together, we can build a strong foundation for every child to thrive.
